Instead of doing things to make the casino more competitive and attractive to players, management has made cuts in player perks and staffing resulting in an abysmal experience when you visit. The response of the casino to this decline has been illogical. Increased competition from Encore and MGM Springfield casinos in Massachusetts has had a negative impact on Twin Rivers' revenues like they have had on Plainridge Park in nearby Plainville. If they make a few easy fixes it'll be a better experience. It would make it easier to get to the hotel and it would be a shorter walk from the VIP lot! All in all it's a nice hotel. They should put in a walkway and add a sign over one of the doors that designate that door as the Hotel Entrance. There are a series of doors facing the VIP lot that bring you right into the lobby. To enter the hotel you have to enter through the main casino doors and then walk down a long hallway. Only after I parked in the general lot, it took a while, did I find out that as a hotel guest I could park in the VIP lot. Once I took the turn following the sigh there was no further signage. I saw one sign on the main roadway on how to get to the hotel. 1)Better signage on where to park 2)Better signage on how to enter the hotel. IMHO here are things they can do to make it a better experience. So it might be difficult if you're on a business trip. It was comfortable, nicely appointed but there wasn't any work space.
